Hello, author! So exciting to have you here.
In the first section below I’ve listed my DNWs and general likes, and in the second the specific requests with some thoughts on the fandoms. For this exchange, I haven’t written any prompts, but I have put down a (non-exhaustive) list of characters I’d be interested in seeing shipped with the LBD, if you’d like a starting point/are stuck.
Additionally, I have requested some of these characters in previous exchanges, so if you’re interested in specific prompts and thoughts on several ships you can check out my Fandom 5k and Chocolate Box letters.
I love the popular ships, but if you’re wondering if this is your time to write LBD/obscure blorbo you love, I’m here to say I would love your rare ship! I’m always down for new ships and this is the exchange for it, so go wild!
The likes and characters are, of course, purely optional. I’ve included them as a way to show you a general direction of where my taste runs, so feel free to disregard them. Also, how much I have to say about a fandom isn’t indicative of how much I want it – I’d be equally happy to receive a gift for any of my requests, I just had more thoughts for some while writing (and sometimes all I have to say about a request is “!!!!! please :DD”)!
I love plot, I love relationship focus, I love smut. Whatever you’d like to write, please do, I’ll love it.

I love this fucked up world – corporations, corruption, the exploitation of the masses for personal greed, Arasaka vs Militech, the mercs and fixers in NC, the casual treatment of death and murder, so forth. I love the dynamics between the characters, the push and pull of it, the powerplays.

Mass Effect

If I absolutely had to pick a favorite game of the trilogy it would have to be ME3, because of the character interactions and the way Shepard feels the most alive (ironically enough); but I also love ME1, where characters feel way more idealistic than they later become, and ME2 where it all seems to be crashing down but it's still bearable.

Naruto

Ninjas! Powerful and sometimes ridiculous ninjas! :D
I love how fucked up this world is, with their child soldiers and constant death – and the further back you go in time, the worse it is! I love the themes of village vs clan loyalty, the mixing of the personal and the political, the secrets and the murder right along the showy, cool as hell jutsus.

The Silmarillion and other histories of Middle-Earth - J. R. R. Tolkien

Any time period is fine, though I’m partial to the First Age, reincarnation in Valinor whenever (reembodiment; no adults as children/in child bodies please), and during their time in Mandos, for those who died. I love the tragedy of the Noldor. Themes of loyalty and doom are especially delicious. Compliance with canon events (i.e. traumatic death) are absolutely okay. Go all out on the angst if you wish, this is the canon for it. Or you can focus on the happy/less horrible times, too! I’ll love it either way. And go with whatever names you like, I just use the Sindarin versions here for ease.
Also as a sort-of exception to my mundane AUs DNW - I don’t really consider things like “Elves through history” or “Maglor in modern times” one of those, and in fact really love both tropes, so please feel free to write them if you so wish! I can never have enough :D
Note on characterization, if it comes up: I prefer Elrond & Elros & Maglor (& Maedhros) to have developed a genuine familial relationship, though if you’re not into the whole Kidnap Fam thing I understand and am okay with pretty much any way interpretation of their relationship except ‘M&M were total monsters to them’. And please, no Elwing bashing.

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy & The Clone Wars

I’m putting these two together because they are largely the same in my mind, but if you only know one, rest assured that I’m not expecting you to consume the other!
I love everybody in the galaxy far, far away. I love the Mandalorians with their complicated history and codes of honor. I love the Jedi and their pseudo-Buddhist philosophy, and commitment to doing their best in less than ideal circumstances. I love the clones, who got dealt the worst hand in life but clung to their individuality until the last. I love how the tragic ending is foreshadowed to the viewer and when fic plays into that, but I also have a lot of love for fix-its. Do feel free to kill Palpatine off screen or, hell, feed him to the Zillo beast.
On the clones: I like them regardless of whether they’re written as Mandalorian or not, though if yes, I’d ask that you keep the mando’a to more common-in-the-fandom words and avoid the whole sentences, since I can’t read it.

I’ve opted in to “crossovers” between the Prequel movies and The Clone Wars (2008) show, as well as with any Legends canon you like! (For the last one, I can't guarantee I will know the characters, but I'm always down to get to know new ones! Obscure blorbos very welcome.)

Star Wars: The Old Republic

I love this game so much. I’m particularly fond of the original class stories and the Shadow of Revan expansion, but all the expansions currently out are fair game.
I admit I like my Empire characters light sided. Specifically, I live for that sweet, sweet twist of Cipher Nine turning coat and siding with the Republic at the end of the class story – it might be one of my favorite moments across all class stories. It’s totally cool if you’re not into that, however.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

I'm an absolute sucker for Ancient Greece-inspired media and this game does it so well and is so pretty, I just can't resist it.
Historical accuracy is not the name of the game and I'm certainly not expecting it here, so please don't stress out about that (though, alternatively, if you're actually a history nut and know 234689 things about the time period AC:O happens in, feel free to work it in and then tell me that's what you did, I'll be very impressed & love it). And while I'm a fan of the general Isu storyline, if you don't want to deal with that you can ignore them (or even go a step further and AU it so that the Gods are real, actually, and Alexios is a demigod? 👀).

Chthonic gods, shades of ancient heroes and Olympians! I love all of these weirdos (affectionate).
I love what we see of everyone’s relationships with each other, their opinions on this or that person, and how their regard of Zagreus changes throughout the game. I really love how causally death is treated.
